On short work trips, what's one tiny thing you pack or do that keeps you feeling better?

Travel days—especially short work trips or overnight trains—can wreck energy and meals. What’s one small thing you deliberately pack or do on those days that makes a real difference? (Food, a 5-minute movement, a sleep tip, a hydration habit). Examples: boiled eggs, roasted chana, a resistance band, or a quick hotel-room routine.

I always toss a couple of single-serve peanut butter packets in my bag. They’re cheap, don’t need refrigeration, and pair with an apple, banana, or a whole-grain cracker to make a filling snack on trains/late meetings — way better than vending-machine candy. Keeps hunger and blood-sugar dips at bay so I don’t end up ravenous and make worse choices.

Pack a compact protein+fiber snack (boiled egg, roasted chana, paneer cubes or a nut + dried‑fruit mix). Protein slows blood‑sugar swings, increases satiety and helps preserve muscle after travel; fiber aids fullness. Pair this with small sips of water (200–300 ml) every 2–3 hours and a 1–2 minute stand/walk or calf‑raise routine each hour to reduce stiffness and boost alertness.
