Late-night wedding functions — what's the one thing you do to not feel wrecked the next morning?

Many weddings here mean dinner at 10–11pm, dancing, sweets and sometimes drinks. You can't skip the celebration, but the next morning is often wiped out. What's the one realistic thing you actually do before, during or after a late-night function that helps you avoid feeling exhausted the next day — a food choice, small timing trick, or quick recovery habit?

Try a 20–30 minute nap 1–2 hours before the function. A short pre-event nap reduces sleep pressure and preserves alertness for late celebrations. During the event sip water, limit alcohol to 1–2 drinks (alcohol fragments sleep), and have a small protein+complex-carb snack before bed (e.g., curd + roti or banana + peanut butter) to reduce morning grogginess.
