How do you quietly boost protein when family meals are dal + rice?

In many households lunch is the same dal, sabzi and rice that everyone eats. If you want a little more protein but dont want to cook a separate meal or make a fuss, what one small addition or tweak do you actually use? (Examples welcome: add-ins, portion swaps, quick sides you toss in.)

Quick, low‑fuss add-ins I use: a small bowl of curd/raita with meals; a soft-boiled egg tucked into the plate; or a sprinkle/toss of roasted peanuts or bhuna chana over dal+rice for crunch and protein. Other stealth options: crumble paneer into the sabzi while reheating, stir in rehydrated soya granules/TVP to the curry, or top with a few tablespoons of sprouted moong. (Dal+rice already gives complementary amino acids; these simply increase total protein with minimal extra work.)
