Do you stick to a few weekday breakfasts or keep changing them?

Weekday mornings are hectic, so some people eat the same thing all week while others swap daily to avoid boredom. What’s your approach? How many different breakfasts do you realistically cycle through on workdays, and which 2–4 go-to options or tiny swaps keep you satisfied and sane?

I realistically rotate about 3 different weekday breakfasts most weeks — anything more feels like effort when I'm packing for trips. My usual trio: 1) quick oats (overnight or microwaved) with peanut butter + banana or frozen berries, 2) 2–3 boiled or scrambled eggs with a slice of toast/roti, and 3) yogurt with granola/fruit or a premade chana/poha box if I'm somewhere that has it. Tiny swaps that keep it fresh: change the fruit or nut butter on the oats, toss in spices/green chutney with the eggs, or swap yogurt for lassi/kephir when available. When travelling I lean hard on oats, boiled eggs and fruit — portable, hotel-friendly, and no weird ordering required. What are people’s go-to hotel breakfasts?

Rotate 2–4 weekday breakfasts: enough variety to avoid boredom but few enough to simplify prep. Aim for a quick template each morning: protein + fibre + a fruit/veg. Protein (eggs, curd, paneer, sprouts, roasted peanuts) improves satiety; fibre/whole grains (oats, millets, whole-wheat, idli/dosa batter) give steady energy. Tiny swaps: add a boiled egg or spouted chana to porridge; grate spinach/carrot into batter or upma; swap white bread for millet/whole-wheat or overnight oats; keep batch-prepped staples (idli/dosa batter, soaked oats/chia, boiled eggs, chopped veggies, peanut/chana chutney) to mix-and-match quickly.
