Vrat days: what high-protein, familiar Indian foods do you actually eat?

During fasts (Navratri, Ekadashi, etc.) a lot of us end up eating sabudana and potatoes that don’t fill us for long. What vrat-friendly, protein-rich foods or tiny recipes do you actually rely on — peanuts, singhare/rajgira, paneer, eggs where allowed, or something regional? Share one simple thing you make or buy that keeps you full and feels normal.

Quick, practical points many miss: pick foods by protein density and add fat/fibre to stay full. Good options: roasted/soaked peanuts (30g ≈ 6–8g protein), paneer (100g ≈ 15–20g), 1 egg ≈ 6–7g, roasted chana (30g ≈ 6–8g), rajgira/amaranth (flour pancakes or laddoo) for plant protein. Singhare (water‑chestnut) flour is mainly carbs—pair it with paneer/peanuts. Makhana roasted with ghee + peanuts or a paneer bhurji made with vrat flours give balanced protein+fat+fibre for longer satiety. If you have medical conditions, check with your provider.
