Training while fasting (Ramzan, Navratri, personal fasts): when do you exercise?
Lots of people fast for religious or personal reasons but still have jobs, commutes, or gym routines. When you fast, do you prefer exercising before the fast ends, after you eat, or cutting back entirely? Share what you tried, how you timed food/hydration, and which trade-offs actually worked for your day-to-day life.

Practical rules that help: for quality resistance or hard interval sessions, train after you break the fast (about 1–2 h after iftar) when you're fed and rehydrated. If you must train while fasting, keep it short (20–45 min), lower intensity, and avoid long endurance work or heat. A useful compromise is training 30–60 min before iftar so you can rehydrate and eat immediately. Between iftar and sehri, spread fluids and include electrolytes (water, chaas/buttermilk, oral-rehydration mix) and aim for ~20–40 g protein after exercise (eggs, paneer, dal, yogurt). People with diabetes, heart disease, pregnancy, or other medical issues should check with a clinician before training while fasting.
