Editorial

If you train within 30–60 minutes of waking, keep the pre-workout tiny and carb-focused so it’s easy to digest: small banana, 1–2 idlis, a small bowl of poha/upma, toast with jam, or roasted makhana. For longer or high-intensity sessions add a little protein (milk or a few nuts). Post-workout (30–60 min) aim for carbs+protein: eggs or besan/moong chilla, curd with fruit/poha, milk+banana, paneer/sprouts on toast. Stay hydrated (water or coconut water) and avoid heavy, oily, or very spicy foods before commuting. If you have diabetes or other health concerns, follow personalized medical advice.
