Do you log every set/reps in an app or just train by feel? Which works for you and why?

Curious—do you write down every set, rep and weight (app, notebook, photos), or skip tracking and just train by feel? If you track, which tool and small habit made it stick? If you don’t, what’s the main reason—time, irritation, or better results? Share one tiny thing you do (or avoid) that affects progress.

Quick principle: progressive overload (gradually increasing load or reps) is the main driver of strength/hypertrophy, so objective tracking helps you see real progress. Training by feel can work if you reliably autoregulate intensity (use RPE/RIR). A simple, high‑yield habit that sticks: record only the top working set for each exercise (exercise name → weight → reps or RPE). That takes 10–20 seconds, keeps burden low, and still lets you plan small weekly increases or spot regressions.
