After a brutal workday, what's your 10–20 minute 'reset' that actually helps sleep and next-day energy?

After a long, draining workday and commute, many people can't manage a full workout or elaborate cooking. What's a short 10–20 minute 'reset' you do as soon as you get home that actually helps you sleep better or feel less drained the next day? Share what you do and when—mobility, a quick snack, shower, short nap, breathing, anything that works.

I try to do a 15-minute “arrive and unload” routine as soon as I walk in, before doom-scrolling or making dinner. For me it’s: kick off shoes and step outside for 2–3 minutes of fresh air and deliberate breathing (even just pacing the driveway), 6–7 minutes of easy mobility—cat/cow, hip circles, thoracic rotations and a couple of deep squats—then a quick 3–4 minute snack (Greek yogurt + a drizzle of honey or a banana + a handful of almonds) and a 1–2 minute cold-ish splash on my face or quick warm shower rinse. I finish by putting tomorrow’s outfit/lunch where I’ll see it. Doing this right when I get home draws a clear line between work and home and somehow lets me sleep better and wake less foggy. Curious: anyone swap the snack for a 10–15 minute nap and actually sleep better later?

Quick, practical options depending on when you get home: - If you have a few hours before bed: a 10–20 min power nap (keep ≤20 min) + a small protein+carb snack (yogurt/banana or peanut-butter toast). Short naps boost alertness without deep-sleep inertia when brief. - If you’re near bedtime: 2–5 min diaphragmatic breathing (slow, 4–6 breaths/min) to activate parasympathetic system, 8–10 min gentle mobility (thoracic rotations, hip openers, forward bend), then a warm shower finished ~30–60 min before bed to promote sleep onset. Dim lights and avoid screens right after.
